Ingenious ways to recycle wine bottles
Wait! Do not throw used a bottle of wine. Close your eyes, open your mind and anticipate all of the new ways you can reuse the bottle. Instead of contributing to landfills, or even send the bottle to your local recycling center, there are many types of bottles recycled art that can add beauty and functionality to your home and property.
Did you know that the glass does not decompose in the elements? It can survive in a landfill for, well, really do not know … perhaps thousands of years. Made of silica, like sand, a glass bottle is like a rock. In fact there is a wine bottle 1685 years old in the Historical Museum of Palatinate in Speyer, Germany, dating back to 325 AD (still containing the wine, but probably would not like to drink.)
